Greebo, yeh sounds like the good clocks are prob down to cherry pickings and/or volt mods, if your "only" 840/4400 on water then perhaps 800/4200 maybe max on stock fan/heatsink for the masses
Interesting to see your results as my assumption that 900/4500 was attainable are maybe a tad optimistic ? I was using this in my decision to maybe get another card by early september

Looks like GTX280+ going to 2.5 ratio for core/shaders, unsure on memory
This implies 648 core and 1620 shaders up from GTX280's 602/1296, the max overclock I've seen on a GTX280 for shaders is 1460 so thats a 10% shader o/c over a pre-clocked GTX280 and 25% over a stock GTX280, with a 7% o/c on core, interesting to see how it clocks all round, imagine 55 process wont change memory clocks but if the + can o/c to 680/1700/2400 it should be good
