gtx570 or Ati 6970?

Yeah se cannot do sli, it saved me a fair whack getting it over the p6t, its not sli capable as nvidia charge for the ability that's what I read

It's cf compatible tho

You can get sli to work on this motherboard but you need to flash the bios with the older p6t non deluxe version but to me its not worth the risk so for dual gpu you should only be thinking about amd for the moment.

Yeah Nvidia sucks in that way. The board, and many others, are mechanically perfectly capable of SLI (all that's needed is for it to meet Standard PCI-E specs like any other). But Nvidia insists on a bogus certification fee. There is a database of MB's that have had the cert fee paid in the Nvidia driver and the Nvidia driver looks to that list before it will enable SLI. I can't remember but it seems to me it is ~$10 per board.

Nvidia says this fee is to cover validation costs for insuring that the MB will work properly with SLI. Which is why I say bogus, because if the MB meets Standard PCI-E it would have to work properly with any GFX card that also meets Standard PCI-E spec, and if the cards don't work properly in SLI on a board that does meet Standard PCI-E specs it would be Nvidia's end that need's certified, certified to meet Standard PCI-E spec. So in reality Nvidia is charging you to cover there R&D costs of driver support for SLI.

I can vouch that the GTX560Ti will be perfect for 1680*1050. Hit me up a message in trust if you have any more questions, but I was in the same position as you. I decided to go for the GTX560 over the GTX570 due to price difference but I don't regret the decision at all. It's eaten everything I've thrown at it so far.
