Guy who fed the kitten to snake is now on the run

I am not quite sure why the sun told scotland yard..wasnt he canadian?

do they sun regularly ring the police when things happen in other countries?

Feed it a rat, feed it a kitten. Not much difference in my mind. Still horrible though, i would've had that kitten :(

That's sort of what we were trying to get across to people in the other thread. Feeding live animals to snakes is illegal(Due to it being cruel) But even if that wasnt the case, the way the video was done, the showcasing.

It was just very very wrong.

I am not defending him, but just because most people who do it are pychos,it doesn't mean it is wrong. All animals would feel the same pain, really our perception on what animals can be killed is not based objectively.
It's strange someone would find it pleasurable though.

LOL - who'd have thought he was a bit mental...

Also - lol @ the various people in the previous thread bleeting on about the video being no big deal, same as feeding it a rat etc...

(aside from the lack of any nutritional value to the snake from a kitten and the obvious implication that it was done by a rather sick individual attempting to shock people)

I don't see the problem, it's only another human after all. Basic survival - he was hungry so clearly that was the reason he at the man. Even if he wasn't hungry, we should still respect his wishes to kill. It's just nature at work etc. etc..
I agree, this is clearly a case of cute and furry human syndrome.

I wonder if anyone has done a study on the number and nature of these types of acts since the widespread use of the internet. Would be an interesting topic.

you guys suck at google, i read the description and didnt feel like pressing play

If we're referring to the same website, with the really long description and the picture at the top of the page of the guys head then yeah, I found that but I'm on my iPhone - stupid "Your device does not support flash" thingy popped up lol gotta wait till I get home to see it.

3 guys 1 hammer was bad enough, I couldn't even watch more than a few minutes but this.... doubt I'll get very far into it

I have a genuine interest though. My dissertation was based on the morbid curiousity of humans that which makes us want to seek out stuff we shouldn't, mostly tourism based, for example, why do people want to visit places like Auschwitz.

For more on the subject, google Dark Tourism

I don't know if you've read through the rest of the story (I'd not blame you if the standard of reporting put you off) but Mr Magnotta has in the past lived in London according to the story and may have headed back to the UK. At the time of the Sun reporting him to Scotland Yard he was presumably in the UK but even if not then it wouldn't be entirely beyond the bounds of possibility that they would report him in the hopes of international law enforcement co-operation.

If wannabedamned is right then it is illegal to feed live animals to snakes. You can argue that morality is subjective of course but I don't think it's entirely untoward to say it is wrong.

It is illegal yes. Unless there are extreme circumstances.

ie the snake WILL NOT eat frozen food, and all other avenues have been addressed. Like heating the food, chopping it up, trying different types of food etc

Main point is those people who feed live bunnies and kittens are very likely to be sociopaths and thus danger to normal population in the long term I say.

As far as I know pet shops sell already dead and frozen mice to feed pets. Feeding live pet-animals to snakes is just an excuse to feed their sociopathic needs.

My first post in that kitten fed to snake thread, turned out to be right on the money.

what a load of bs, people haven't agreed with you, so now you change it.
How many of us burnt ants as a kid, are we sociopaths and become a danger to society. It used to be the norm.
That is Glaucus reply to my point. He defended the guy to the death, hopefully he would learn some humility now.
