Great to see AMD finally sorting Crossfire out, no idea why Hardocp bother testing at resolutions no one uses and then turn in game settings down? Why no 2560x1440 results? Surely that (and 1080@120/144hz) are what the vast majority of Crossfire users are running? Definitely better reviews out there.

Ironically they call it "real world" testing.

They think because they run stupid high rez everyone else does.

Nobody is saying that Matt lol. That's kind of tangential to what they're saying? Me? I look at everything as a whole rather than tunnel visioning on one set of results.

For 2 cards in crossfire the high res's would probably be preferred surely? You're not gonna have a pair of these running at 1080p I wouldn't have thought?

I'd really like to see a specific review on how much Crossfire has come along now since it's earlier iteration. It got a terrible reputation back in the day (quite rightly, 5850 xfire was awful for me) but everything is pointing to it getting to a good place now.

A nice walkthrough pointing out tips for the control panel, stuff to avoid etc, something actually useful to people?

They definitely are. Pick out the one thing in common about the following posters. Granted not all of them screaming bias, but I did say back near the start these results would ruffle feathers. This is a good example of feathers being ruffled.

Exactly, not hard to see they are butt hurt about how much Titan and GTX780 get beat at ultra res. "Who cares about 4K" they bleat, forgetting that 3x 1080p monitors in eyefinity/surround have been a cheap viable solution for years now.

Rather than acknowledge these are excellent results and that clearly R9 290X is a superior solution for ultra res gamers they would rather deny it and claim "who cares", or [H]] got it wrong. I particularly love the irony of them saying "AMD fans loving [H] all of a sudden", while missing the fact they are doing the polar opposite.

People do buy multi card setups for 1080p, mainly for 120/144hz/3D.

Anyway ill stay out of it from now on as i only have peasant 7950's anyway and all the mentioned cards are nothing more than a pipe dream to me.

I didn't post their review finally did. I merely posted my surprise at the graphs and the performance level 290X crossfire is offering. It was a surprise as H never give gold awards to AMD for as long as i can remember.

Nobody is saying the results aren't excellent it's just anyone with a sensible head on them who doesn't side with any reviewers has known [H] has been dodgy for reviews for a long time.

Fanboyism in general is extremely boring but I don't think it's really present in this thread. I do completely agree with your sentiment though that people sometimes put you into a camp just based on what GPU you have. I find that particular mentality absolutely crazy. I've been called an AMD and NVIDIA fanboy on these forums
