Guys its the first time iv used a radiator. Iv went ahead and installed it in the front of the microatx case il be using. Im still waiting for my components to get here.

Im just a little worried about rigging the rest of the gear in and firing it up first time without trying to check that the 105 is still completely intact and leak free after i have screwed into it. obviously its all close quarters because its a microatx build. I dont want my Haswell-E stuff going bANg!

is there anyway of powering the pump up and getting it to run the liquid around before i put my board and cpu anywhere near it. sorry if this is a basic noob question :)

You could keep the pump plugged in to a molex connector (using a 3 or 4 pin adapter). Remove the CPU power and 24 pin power from the motherboard and use the paperclip method on the PSU to get the pump working without turning on the PC.

I just put paper towels under after installing for 24 hours. That was with the H100i.

When I said I was doing this people laughed at me, but losing 1000 pounds of hardware is not funny when it's your own. Do whatever you need to do to test it to give you a piece of mind.

its an oem chip so i wont have a stock cooler. il try the paper clip thing and let it run for for a while. il stuff some tissue around the rad inside the case to see if any droplets occur. cheers guys.
