Had to unbox my N95 8Gb

There is. They are not the same. It'd be like saying if we're talking about iPhone, there's no point in saying 2G or 3GS. It's still the iPhone.

Read what i said, i said do you have to mention the memory size each time you say N95 in the op?

He said it in the first line, so im sure if he just types N95 from there on, people will understand still.

But it's not merely stating memory size is it? Why do you not understand that.

Nokia N95 and Nokia N95 8GB are not the same phone. Putting an 8GB SD card in a regular N95 doesn't make it an N95 8GB. So yes, it is neccessary to put 8GB at the end or else everyone else will think they are talking a different phone.

Again read what i said . .

For example, if my milestone was called milestone 8GB, and there was an ordinary milestone too, i would say its an 8GB at the start, i wouldn't then type milestone more than 7-8 times stating its an 8GB everytime.

Which is why i asked, do you need to say 8GB everytime you type it, when you already have at the start.

lol do have an interest in the N95 8GB. and by the way i drive a C5...should i state that it is the new C5 or the old C5 as they are not the same cars at all.

Well if you state its the new C5 at the start like the op did with his post, then you dont need to say it everytime you say C5 in the same post!!!!!!!

What a pointless argument! While I can see where Minnnxxxyyyyy is coming from, is it really worth bring up? It's an extra 3 characters!

Anyway, my N95-1 (to differentiate from the N.American and Chinese variants ;) ) was a brilliant phone and is currently sat next to me as standby for whenever my Desire fails me and it beats it on the camera, battery life and, imo, music playback. Wouldn't use another Nokia though unless they seriously overhaul their software.

Ha it is pointless ;) but it just annoys me when i see it.

But you didn't even know that the 8GB was different model when you made that post  You critisised him for mentioning memory size, which he wasn't doing.

I am the OP. And yes i would have to state that the i am talking about a New c5 to the old C5 because you will not find the same dash or even controls in the old C5. so you would not know what i am refering to unless you had a New C5....plus some people do not read the full thread...a bit like your self.
so yes i LOVE my old trusty N95 8GB as a back up phone.

A guy goes into cafe "can i have an egg please?"
"yes sir how would you like it sunny side up, poached, hard boiled or scambled?"
Do you see my point?

So 8GB isnt a memory size?

It is the model of the phone. '8GB' is used to differentiate it from the standard N95. Hence the Samsung Galaxy S isn't called a Samsung Galaxy S 8GB as then you'd be right, it'd be merely stating JUST the memory size for no reason.

OP was not stating the memory size. He was stating his MODEL OF PHONE. He wasn't writing '8GB' to show off how much memoriezzzz he's got.

Wow, what a stupid argument. The phone is called 'N95 8Gb'. It's named after the fact it has built in memory which the original doesnt but there are numerous other hardware differences as well

It would confuse people if he said N95, as the regular N95 was pretty crap.

Try reading what i said again.

I asked why he insisted typing '8GB' everytime he typed N95?

He had already put '8GB' in the title and the first sentence, so why type it every othertime?

Because N95 and N95 8GB are different.

He had already put '8GB' in the title and the first sentence, so why type it every othertime?

The same reason why somebody who posts a thread about a Volkswagen Passat doesn't then call it a 'Pass' all the way through the thread?

I know they are different, but if he has put it into the title, then surely people wont get confused? Unless its stupidly thick people reading.
