HAF 932 fans running slow ??

Are fans all PWM, all 3pin or combo? Might need to select auto detect vs PWM.

eh ? lol, dont understand what you mean mate

The H100 cooler has two fans that plug into the pump that attaches to the cpu, and it also has a molex power cable which is plugged into the psu.

does that make any sense to you and is that correct ?

the wires were there so I just plugged them all in etc.;)

Corsair has acknowledged there is an issue with some of the components included in a small number of H100 units with lot code 11359403 only. You can find your lot code on the printed label on your H100 box (See below image). Taking a closer look at the issue, it is related to the button on the unit that changes fan profiles. On affected coolers, the fan works at the default speeds no matter what the selected profile is.

Corsair is recommending "if you have this lot code, test your installed unit while the system is running by pressing the profile change button. If you push the profile button on the top of the cooling unit and the indicator lights change, but the fan noise remains the same, we recommend contacting Corsair technical support at [email protected] to arrange for some replacement parts that will correct this problem."

Edit: Have you tried the button to change the "fan profiles"?

When I press the buttons on mines it does slow right down on setting one, speeds up a bit on setting setting 2 and on setting 3 it goes to full speed and each light lights up too and all that, so I think that side of things is working fine if that is actually what your meaning

Found it this, don't know if it will help.

hmmmmm

I wonder if having it connected to the molex and to the cpu fan header on the board could be the problem, you know what I mean ?

maybe the direct molex connection is causing it to spin at full speed all the time, hmmmm

I dunno ?

I will leave this thread running just now and see if anyone responds mate, give it a few days, no big deal, then if no response then I could start the new thread then :)

Ive had the cooler master HAF 932 pc case now for a few years and never had a problem with it or its stock fans that I have noticed before.

However, since I have got this new build (see my signature) 2 of the stock chassis fans are showing in red colour in my bios I think meaning they are running too slow

I have the Q fan function disabled and the other things (cant remember what the option is called) I have all the other options set in bios to turbo for all fans.

This is what coolermasters website says about the size and speeds of the fans >>

__________________________________________________________
Cooling System
Front: 230 x 30 mm red LED fan x 1 / 700 rpm / 19 dBA
Side: 230 x 30 mm standard fan x 1 / 700 rpm / 19 dBA
Rear: 140 x 25 mm fan x 1, 1200 RPM, 17 dBA
________________________________________________________

I cant remember what fan is plug into what socket, its easy enough to find out but not right now as its too late and I aint going down on my hands and knees to pull the side panel off etc as I am very tired, lol, so I am guessing here but I think the guess will be correct.

As you can see, the front and side fans are the same size and they (coolermaster) are saying they should run at 700rpm and the rear fan is smaller and faster at 1200rpm.

However, in my asus bios it is reporting two fans are only running at approx 475 and 480-ish rpm's, so I am guessing thats the front and side ones as they are meant to run slower than the rear BUT at 700rpm, and I am guessing the other one is the rear fan as its meant to run faster at 1200rpm BUT my bios reports it at 708-ish rpm's

so the two that are meant to run at 700rpm's are showing in the bios in a red colour at approx 475-480-ish rpm's when infact they should be closer to 700rpm, the one thats supposed to run at 1200rpm is showing in bios as running at approx 708rpm's, but not its not reporting in the red colour, its in black, either way, they all appear to be running a lot slower than the manufacturers specifications say as you can see.

I spoke to someone on the phone who said he knows a lot about all these things and according to him he said that he has seen this before with these cases and stock fans and he said for some reason they seem to either run slower or just report that they are slower, but he didnt say how or why etc

I find it quite hard to believe that if he is correct, maybe he is, I dont know, maybe hopefully one of you guys will know better ?

Is there maybe a setting or something I dont have set correctly in bios or what ? I dont think so, I think I have them all set on full speed all the time the way I like it as they are very quiet anyway, but as I am new to asus bios/boards I could be missing a setting, I dont know

I hope someone can help me with this please, thank you :)

p.s
the reason why I have not included details of the top case fan is because I have my H100 there now, so thats the reason for that, just thought I would say.
p.p.s
I hope someone can understand all that, LOL.

Just to let you guys know.

Coolermaster kindly sent me out a replacment fan and i have fitted it and it does run at nearly 1200rpm like it should do (when machine is under stress), so job done, thanks for all your help :D
