Hair Gel or Wax.

I've finally got my barnet chopped to a reasonably short length but long enough to probably 'style' it in some way as I've got a job interview coming up. Now usually I'd put a hat on when I go out as me hair would always be a mess but obviously I can't do that at an interview. What do people recommend, wax or gel? I've not actually had gel in my hair since I was about 9 years old which is 15 years ago! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Matt clay personally. Think it's VO5 or something. Doesn't make your hair rock hard, nor make it look greasy. Instead, it does what it says on the tin. Looks matte, but enables you to style your hair and it stay that way.

i use V05 rework fibre putty washes out easily and very good for styling short hair

if you want something a bit stiffer Brylcreems Ultragel (extreme styling) is excellent, again works well on short hair

Forgot about the fibre putty. Housemates has that and tried it a few weeks ago. Works well IMO.

I got some fish stuff which seems pretty good, probs the best stuff I've used for a while, it's either the clay or the putter, not sure which though

surely that cant be good for you hair

Use supermarket branded gel, dont know why but from a certain large supermarket it works very well and causes very little greasyness...

A wax does me.

The stuff i use is called Black and White. It's a nice matt look too.

I use Fish 'Kingfisher' paste. Get's a good hold and doesn't go all shiny like gel does.

some stuff in a yellow tube called "Got2bGlued" or something, that stuff is seriously good .

its like PVA glue on your head. goes SOLID

Seems to do the trick, although the cheesy "With added pulling power" line on the front isn't a hit with me.
