Half life 2: fakefactory..has it installed?

Ive just installed fake factory v10 for the first time.. and i dont know if its working. What do you think??

TBH i cant see much diff between vanilla and fake factory. On the screenshots/video it looks 20x better than the old vanilla textures/models.

Im 90% sure i installed it coreectly (its pretty much fool proof) I made sure i started the games up and played for a few mins, installed the steam tools etc.

From what I remember 1) Make sure Steam is NOT running while using FF addon plus 2) the installation should have created a new HL2 desktop icon as it need new parameters to load up, if you are still using the desktop shortcut that was created from steam or indeed running HL2 via steam you will deffo get vanilla.

Atm it looks like you are still using vanilla HL2.

Edit: Also, there should be a separate program with the FF mod which allow you to change the custom skins on all character, most of them highly improved, like the Barney chr. Find that and make sure you select the ones you prefer before you run HL2 with FF mod.

got it working now lol i was starting it from steam -_- Duh..looks amazing

Interestingly, I installed FF up to 10.94 and have been playing a bit over the last week - thankfully the mod default character models seem to be the HD originals now, so I didn't need to mess around in the character pimper to reset alyx.
