Half-Life 2: The Black Box is no more

Some people need to calm down.

As said, this is just the RETAIL Black box thats been announced as cancelled. For those with the Ati vouchers and those purchasing through Steam, the Orange Box will still be available.

I can't believe you get DOD:S too, thats a great deal with the card!

Tried to register my card today, no DOD:S, instead they are offering all Ati owners a free copy of HF:LC and HF2 deathmatch, and 50% of halflife 2.
So, I guess I really have to go out and dish out more money for ep2 and portal when I bought Ati because I would at least get these games for free :rolleyes:
If the driver issue, fan noise isn't solved very soon, there shall be a HD2900XT for sale soon :(

Nope not at all, from it looks like, the black box is now the orange box so you have got hl2 etc and will recieve EP2 when they come out?

it did re-download DOD:Source though, which I already had :rolleyes:

EP2 & Portal aren't out yet, so it can't add them. Just wait until they're up for preorder, then you'll be able to activate & preload.

I downloaded and installed steam. I then clicked Activate a product on steam (on the my games tag, at the bottom) and then entered the code and that is the screen i got. It allow's you to print a reciept for the purchase also.

Strange :confused: , I did register your game on screen at the top, and I didn't bring up that screen :(
 
As loing as I can own Half Life 2 Episode 2 and Team Fortress 2 I dont really care.
About Valve backing out on their deal with ATI - deserting a sinking ship anyone? :)

And jumping right into a lava flow. That would be like a shop selling you a product, then later on knocking on your door and taking it back. I don't think you'd just let them do that...

Hence why Valve aren't backing out of the deal, it would be ludicrous.

Nope, this is only affecting "RETAIL" not "STEAM".

Knowing that the majority of users use steam to get their games, it's really not much of an issue.
