Me & my dad want to build either a kit car or a restoration, i'm more down building something like a Cobra but he wants to do a full strip and rebuild on an E-type.

Without going into too much detail few things stand in the way, work commitments for both of us due to our jobs sending us all over the world, second problem is they are currently getting plans drafted up for yet another extension to the main house which will give us a wider garage with more height but keep its current double length. What they should really do is move into the much bigger second house and just use the already built garage which is perfect height for a lift due to a pitched roof, he's having non of it though.

Sounds great! I only have a modest garage (double length but single width) which also has to accommodate boring stuff like a chest freezer and tumble drier. Plan is to take everything out sort the leaky asbestos roof and plan where stuff can go (including some nice shiny new tool cabinets). If all goes to plan I should have room for a small project. Something like a little CR-X is quite appealing for some reason
