I can't say I had any ammo problems when playing on legendary.
Thats because wingzero and I did the most killing

Seriously though, If you have not played the previous games or at least watched the FMVs then you will be at a bit of a loss to the story
and possibly a bit frustrated by the flood, who use completely different tactics to the Covenant. What I missed was the typical covenant on flood battles that were seen in H1 H2 but I cant recall seeing many if any in H3 (maybe we were just too good at eradicating the enemy, maybe I was too tired to be distracted by anything that I wasn't shooting at)
I too was a bit disappointed in the fight with Guilty Spark it was a bit lame, esp. Considering we could have had that fight in the first halo game. but GS showed no evidence of having any weapons capability at all. I thought that was a bit out of Canon.
I actually cant remember there being any boss battles at all in Halo1 tbh. IIRC it was always you against the game. or the Covanent. Troops. Halo 2 introduced bosses by using the Scarab, Regret and Toranus as bosses. TBH I think one of the things that ****ed people off about Halo 2 was you fought the final boss as the Avatar rather than as Master Chief.
In Halo3 we had several bosses in the Scarabs and then a lame as you like final boss in the form of Guilty Spark. I too would have liked a fight with the Grave mind. But I guess the point of lighting the Halo would have been rendered obsolete had you been able to kill the Grave Mind.
The Final Hog retreat at the end is Classic Halo last level. Sorely missed in H2. and tbh the vehicles handle perfectly once you master the controls.
