Halo 3 Ready to Rock and Roll!...

Apparently. This is from a source i can't link to as their forums are linked heavily with competitors.

We’ve received news today from an industry insider who claims that Halo 3 is finished and sitting at the mastering plant, awaiting the word to go.

According to the source, the final artwork has been finished for disk, booklets and box art.

Our source has stated that one of Europe’s largest CD replicators is on standby, they’ve signed NDA’s and are awaiting the green light from Bungie. According to our source the CD replicators have been given an approximate date to ensure that their pressing schedule is clear for the amount of units they’ll need to produce.

Responding to the question of why haven’t Microsoft and Bungie given it the green light for launch our source is certain that the hold is a strategic move on Microsoft’s part. Although Halo 3 is ready the delay is to time the launch for “maximum impact”

We’ve currently received few details regarding Halo 3, so it makes sense that Bungie will build up the hype surrounding the game before the launch is revealed.

Whilst this is unconfirmed at going to press this industry deep throat was confident in the information which was presented to us.

Gates did say they werent going to release it with the PS3, he said they didnt want the shine taken off Halo 3.

Im sure the release will coincide with plenty of 360's on the shelf.

Really on my way round the Metro Centre this morning around 11.30 could have easily picked up 50 consoles from various shops, game, gamestation, hmv etc if i should have wanted to of course.

This rumour is almost as bad as the one about STALKER. I very much doubt that Bungie have completed Halo 3 in such a very short space of time that the 360 has been out.

Developers kits were late arriving with the big developers and as such many titles have slipped because of this. I don't see how Bungie finished a Halo 3 in a shorter time that it's taking Gears of War or Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter to be completed.

I call major BS!

If they're going to coincide the release with the PS3 then they'd be sitting on a finished game for most of the year. Unlikely.

halo 3 is expected this Febuary according to Game & GameStation they both updated there lists today announcing it in Febuary yet no specific date has been given.

I would agree besides i have also read rumors that halo 3 might not see 2006 :mad:

If the post statment is true then they really shouldnt be just "waiting" they should be fine tuning i have yet to play a game that is "perfect" always something to improve.

in some ways the statement could be true as i know bungee have been working on Halo 3 since the end of production of Halo 2 thats well over a year now but still seems a very short time to create the "Killer app"

I still think Halo 3 will be released when HALO THE MOVIE is in theaters this will just add to all the hype that surrounds this series and rightly so

Erm a finished game that is sat ready to go into mass production, that hasnt even been officially announced yet... I'm afraid that I doubt Halo 3 will be seen before christmas this year, and infact I dont really expect it until 2007, somewhere between feb 2007 and may 2007 I would think.

Maybe some in game shots around june this year, and a playable demo at one of the trade shows around sept/oct this year. Followed by teaser trailer on XBOX market place around dec. With a demo on marketplace prolly a month before its released.

Everyone should know by now not to trust retailer sites, they just make up an approximate time from the bits and bobs of info... nothing solid.

Id damn well like this to be true as i just bought a 360.

Having worked in GAME 9/10 our release dates are outdated or just plain wrong. I always told customers the best place to check was the internet for more accurate release dates.

Halo 3's ready? rofl what a load of old ******** tbh how many games can you name that havent had:

1 screenshot
1 magazine/website report
1 review
even had their existance acknowledged

and yet is so well finished that its ready to be printed? someone somewhere would have leaked something by now.

We might hear of it being announced properly at E3 in May but I wouldnt expect it out before 2007.

As for retailers lists they are total cobblers and if any of those 3 games make it out for next month (or even next 3 months) ill join Wyrdo on his camel
