hand luggage help

I'm flying in a few hours and I need some quick help,
I want to take my DSLR camera, the camera bag i have atm is quite big and its camera specific meaning I cant get any other bits in there, can I also take on a rucksack as hand luggage or is it one bag per person?

i dont think so.. depends who you're flying with.. iv been travelling a lot recently with a small bag plus hand luggage and they make me put my bag into my hand luggage!

must b a new rule?
 
depends what airline and what class

most will only allow 1 bag upto 7kg and of a certain size for economy class

p.s. leaving it late to sort it out aint ya?
 
As mentioned it tends to depend on the airline and what kind of day the staff are having whether they strictly enforce any rules. Can the camera bag not fit into the rucksack?
