Hand luggage

Whats the hand luggage allowance these days? Got 15kg allowance on my case (which sucks), so i'm putting stuff that would usually go in my case in my hand luggage. I cant seem to find any details anywhere on allowances so can anyone shed any light?

Different airlines say different things.

I flew home with easyjet this morning and they had unlimited hand baggage weight.

I agree.

Size can be an issue as well, some airlines have little metal frames and if your bag doesn't fit into it, they won't allow it.

Most allow 6-8Kg.

Personally I take a smallish bag and put every heavy item I have in it, I rarely have less than 12Kg in my hand luggage
