Not gonna lie, I was hoping for an SSD at a stupid price. £12 off DDR3 ram isn't a biggy as its completely useless to you unless you buy a new mobo and cpu as well, unless someone fancies randomly upgrading their current DDR3.

I suppose this is more aimed at people who build systems?

I'm building atm, first time in over 10 years,I have a Phenom II 955 rev C2, Saphire Radeon 5850 (probably crossfire in the future), planning on Asus M5A99X, Win 7 premium 64 bit, asus hav'nt yet published a QVL for memory, would these dual mem modules be a good bet... anyone?, I dont mind cost's so much, would prefer to pay for mem that is likely to work straight off:)

Kingston will work fine, thats the beuty of their memory, it offers superb compatibility. :)

Thanks, would 8GB (2x4GB) be advisable given win 7 64bit OS, or is it over the top, this will mainly be a games system, no video editing or photoshop

Hey Gibbo have you tried ocing a set at all? Might increase interest;)

1600MHz cl9 with 1.6V and i might not be able to resist.

Never will be over the top, there will come a time when having 8GB is considered normal, wasn't too long ago that 1GB was the minimum for gaming, I certainly remember the difference between 512MB and 1GB playing Return to castle Wolfenstein.

I've been running on 1GB, an old dog of a machine with a 512k graphics card and an ahtlon64 processor, 8GB looks like the holy grail!:D
