I recently purchased a lian li hard drive cage what uses 2 5.25 bays...but its made the sata cables even more tighter to put it, and harder to reroute ( sata ports are right in front of where i put cage )

So i sold it on to a friend who has a lian li case, Not important.

What hard drive adaptor to fit in a 5.25 you recommend ? I need 2 but 1 is going to hold a HD and the other will hold a SSD. Presumably ill need another adaptor to fit in the adaptor to fit in the 5.25 bays right?

I want something simple and small. With a good anti vibration system.

I found this, is it any good?

If you want simple with good anti vibration properties then think about bungee mounting them. It's a cheap solution too.

putting bungees across the bays and laying the hard drive on top?
Never heard that before! or am i thinking of the wrong type of bungees? ( elastic rope with hooks on the end)

If you search on here for "bungee mod" then there should be some photos of how to do it. Basically you string two tensioned loops across the bay, one at the front of the drive and one at the back. Then twist the loop so the bottom strand goes over the drive and the top strand goes under the drive so that there's some lateral stability.

It's the same elastic rope as you've seen with the hooks but smaller (maybe 3-4mm diameter), alternatively thin elastic works well too.

Another cheap/FREE method is to use motherboard posts to make 3.5" fit into 5 1/4.
Personally I would use the bungee method as it reduces noise/vibration
