So I've been running on a new setup for about half a year, primarily using Windows XP on my ASUS Commando motherboard.
Yesterday I fitted a new 74GB raptor hard drive and installed Windows XP and Windows Vista on it. (See here).
Now I don't know if this is the right place but something I have noticed which is very odd is, previously on power up I would get the full screen Republic of Gamers logo draw (quite quickly) before it would proceed with POSTing. Now, I turn the PC on and I will sit at a black screen for around 15-20 seconds of no activity at all, then it will draw the Republic of Gamers logo, at probably a third or half the speed it used to, then proceed with posting.
I figured this is a motherboard or BIOS issue or something so posted it here but have no clue how fitting a new hard drive and installing operating systems can affect what happens imeddiately after power on.
Anyone have any idea what might have caused this, and should I post this in a different forum?
