hard drive chassis with media player any good?

I'm seriously considering buying one of these hard drive chassis that has built a built in media player for watching DIVX's in my bedroom. But I can't find any reviews for the different models (i am not interested in hacking apple tv) anyone have any experience or opinions on the matter. I'm not looking to spend a huge amount on one and I know I have the option of buying a divx compatable dvd player, but I like the flexibilty of one of these.

Any thoughts please?

I have a freecom MG-35 (same hardware as a few other models, freecom badge these over here though). Plays divx/xvid and mpeg. Will even play DVD rips with full menus etc. The audio player side of it is a little rubbish because the interface is just folder based, but this is fine for TV/movies etc.
I have had this over a year and wouldn't be without it! Also it can stream video from network shares without even having a hard disk installed in it!
