Hard drive not showing in win 8

Hi guys. I would be grateful if you could help me with a problem. I've just built my first computer and installed an OCZ SSD as the main boot drive. Windows 8 is installed to this drive but it is showing as the only drive available.

I have a Seagate 1TB HDD in another SATA 3 port that shows in my devices but does not show as a hard drive that I can use in My Computer.

Please could you shed some light on this issue.

Pop into disc management and format the drive and this will also assign a drive letter.

(I assume this is a new drive)

OK guys I sorted it myself. I've panicked about this all day and just stumbled on it. More me being a win 8 novice than anything else lol.

Thanks RJC. I just did that after reading it on another forum. It's just a pain getting to grips with 8. Again many thanks for replying.

It's now drive E. It's strange notr being able to use flash on Win 8 either. Bamboozled me when I installed Steam, and all the driver discs that came with the hardware didn't work either.

Always been the way with any NT-based Windows.
