ok so my old setup was giving me problems so i thought it was time for an upgrade.

System is going to consist of the following and enclosed in a Black MM U2 UFO

Asus Rampage III Extreme x58
Intel Core i7 950
6GB Corsair Dominator GT 1866mHz
1x OCZ Vertex 2E 120 SATA 2 SSD - OS Drive
2x 250GB Seagate 7100.10 - Storage
2x 500GB Seagate 7100.11 - Storage
1x 80GB Western Digital - Temp Backup/Storage
Samsung SH-B123L BR-Drive
Prolimatech Megahalems Rev B with 2 Prolimatech Red Vortex 140mm fans (Push-Pull)
ATI Radeon 5870 1GB
2x Zalman 6 Fan Controllers
iMon Ultrabay
OCZ 780w ModXstream PSU
 
made a start a stripping out my old gear from the UFO then gave it a good scrubbing, dust wasnt the word

motherboard, ram, cpu, ssd drive are all in the post, should have some tomorrow and the rest by friday :D im like a big kid here!

dont think there will be much more of an update to hardware, case etc to be honest, tidy up cabling, change the ambers for red wings and overclock.

i MAY look into watercooling at some point but right now, its staying on air
 
no problem, i read a review of the megahalems and was told to buy another set of clips for a push pull config, but it turned out that you get 4 clips with the megahalems anyway :( so ive got a spare set if you need them.

just noticed your from NI too :D
 
Yea you get two coolers with the board. A small shallow one and a larger one with fins and a fan. I took the fan off before I fitted te larger cooler as I wanted to keep noise to a minimum but the CPU cooler fouled on the large cooler so I had to revert back to the shallow one :(
