The point is that consoles are mass market and PC's are not.
Kieren the KnuckleDragger can play his mates on Halo when he isnt standing on a street corner smoking L&B's because it's quick and easy. He doesnt know how to work a PC, and isn't interested.
Sadly, in this country, dim mass market people outnumber the rest of us by quite some margin.
I used to sell games - for many years. I'm going to generalise, but people who bought PC games were more likely to be geeks* and people who bought console games were more likely to be chavs, or 13 years old.
*Not an insult, I will happily confess to being a geek.
We live in a country where The Sun is one of the most popular newspapers. Do you really expect complex and awesome PC gaming to be as popular as simple and dull console gaming?

The PC gaming market never has and has always been niche and always will be thats the point of the topic, the guy says "hardly anyone" when its just not true, its the same as it always has been its the console market has just grown even larger than it ever has
