Hardocp ati eyefinity video review

That's ridiculous! So ****** off with that. The only reason I was going to upgrade to a 5870/5850 was because it said that it support 3 monitors, but I'd need 2 DVI and HDMI, so this card is no good to me. typical

Edit: I suppose not all is lost considering you can get displayport to hdmi adapters. Just hope they work ok.

The Eyefinity demos ATi were running last month were mostly done using 3 monitors over DVI.

There have been photos of the rear of the demo PCs showing that they had used a DP to DVI converter.

They'll be rolling out some more stuff regarding Eyefinity relatively soon I reckon, like the bezel management stuff too.

We also saw that in the demos too.

You need 2 x DVI and a DP, or DVI + HDMI + DP but there are DP adapters that do work, you just have to make sure you get the right one.

truely a great insight into eyefinity, but why call the 5870 a 5770 every darn time!!

The guy didn't seem to know what he was doing for the most part.

I cringed so badly when he was setting the resolution in COD:WAW.

When he kept clicking "Apply Settings?" when there was a yes and no box right below, he did that about 3 times as well. :(

I already have a 24", I am considering buying another 2 but at £400 for one with DP I am not sure.

Instead of making the Bezles smaller just get a bigger screen. :D

1080P 32" LCD TV x3 and a DP->DVI->HDMI adapter would probably look better than 3 x 24" and not any more expensive.

Perople will think I am crazy with 3 LCD Tvs on my desk but who cares. It would be the shizzz.

3 x LG 32" Borderless 1080p 200hz (might need 120hz for 3d. Dear god, imagine eyefinity in 3D)

Does anyone actually use a 32" 1080p LCD for gaming, is it that bad? I imagine with this kind of setup you are going to be a fair few cm back anyway to actually see the whole thing!

Hah, is it just the bad contrast on my 2405FPW that doesn't allow me to see a border on it or is there an LG badge plonked 3 inches up into the center of the LCD
