Hey all basically im looking to build a new rig, though theres no rush at all. So i was hoping to pickup bits and pieces from the MM though im unsure of what parts i really should splash out on or not as i dont know enough. Im looking to get into OC so stability and ability to OC are key. As for technologies, theres no point in heading towards DDR3 yet, yes?

So anyway im basically looking reliable hardware review sites, especially ones that offer direct comparison on hardware, such as what mobo's are best going for.

Unsure of budget at the mo really, though considering going Q6600 and 8800GTS 640MB if that helps give you an idea.

Thanks all for any help you can provide.

Nope.
Its hard to find non biased sites, but http://www.anandtech.com/ is not bad.
Having said that, he tried some OCZ memory on a MSI socket 939 board and no one could match his results.
In fact, the ram he tested some found just would work with that board.

You have to wonder if these review sites get sent hand picked stuff to test.

Tomhardware always used to be biased towards Intel and Nvidia...has that changed?
His CPU / GPU charts are handy though.

Although not entirely hardware Bit Tech might be of use to you.. but Tom's Hardwares good, subscribe to their feed, also Extreme Tech.
