Hi all,

A friend of mine has just bought this router and it appears to be missing loads features that he had been reading up and viewing videos on.
One is adaptive QOS where you could shift priorities, mainly for gaming purposes.
You could also monitor traffic as per device, this is also missing.
He says he has the latest firmware. Can anyone confirm what they see when they log on?

Not sure how accurate this is but it could be that he had been watching videos on the RT-AC88U and has purchased the DSL-AC88U. Might be best looking up the specs of both and comparing. From a quick look, the DSL version has 4 LAN ports and the RT has 8 LAN ports. Not sure about QOS and traffic monitoring though but it could be the reason.

Yeah doing more research it appears it is the RT-AC88U which is different to the DSL. Cheers :)

The DSL version has the modem built in, required for the likes of BT, Sky, PlusNet (anything that uses BT phone line). He can get the RT version and would need a separate modem like the openreach modem for it to work with anything that uses BT phone line.

Yeah, I've just acquired him a modem, cheers
