Has anyone worked for Bank of America in the UK?

I've been offered a job at BoA in the UK. It is in their IT department and I am very inclined to take it. But I thought I'd check whether anyone here has experience working for them? What is the culture like there?

Where at? The Chester site is meant to be a bit of nightmare to work at and it is a US company and so can have some unusual ideas on employee management...

docklands canada square site ? I worked there contracting for a while on a few of their dwdm links

Was at the bromley site years ago pretty good time, one company i would not work ever again would be RBS.

its a bit haggered if its the same dwdm co-lo position, classic run down 80's datacentre, but that was 5 years ago so might have been revamped by now

Yep it looked a bit haggared and Croydon isn't the greatest are to work (certainly compared to Canary Wharf where I currently am). But it's the culture I'm trying to find out about. What is the magagement style like? How stable an environment is it (redundancies)? Are the people there social (go out drinking occasionally)? etc.

I have worked at the chester site, and its a bit of a nightmare, no one seems to know who is responsible for what or anyhthing about the network

I used to work over the road at M&S, we had a few contractors that had worked at BoA and would rather not go back! Coming from a contactor you know that is serious!

Sadly that's the line of work I'm in. I've been "at risk" twice in 2009 and it's one of the reasons I'm considering a move to another company (I'm at another bank).

Its a bit worrying to be honest, not sure how they function, I guess they just forget about it till it breaks then panic!
