Haswell worth it?

Hi,
I am wanting to upgrade my pc as i am starting a new uni course in sept which has a high level of 3d modelling, rendering etc.
i current have the i5 2500K.
I am looking at the i7 haswell.
is the haswell any better than the i7 2700k?

if i do this is what i am lookin at:

It's a step up but not a big step. If you have the money then go for it. If money is tight then you'll get by fine with what you have.

Can you motherboard accept 22nm (Ivybridge chips)? If so, go for the 3770k.

yeh i have got a msi z77 g45, but the motherboard is a bit iffy :s
