Right so I've nearly bought a car and currently negotiating and just make sure I haven't missed anything obvious;

Only thing that worries me is that they limit claims to £200 but unlimited amount of claims :confused:. Is it worth selecting £300 shopping vouchers (got offered either) and then buy a 3rd party one from elsewhere
 
A maximum claim of £200 is scarcely worth the bother, you get a warranty to avoid shelling out huge money if something major breaks (and that's not entirely unlikely).

If you go for a third party warranty, make sure you find out any restrictions on the "shopping vouchers". Many of these things are barely worth the paper they are printed on.

Lot of money, not sure if we will bother with it as the per month payment equals 1/3 of the repayment cost

They are just MK:Centre shopping vouchers which expire Mar 08
