This woman came up to me while in halfords and was adament I help her and just do a questionaire, I was in a rush so I just answered all her questions.

On my way home reading this leaflet I was left with, it looks like I've been signed up for a credit card. Basically says pre contract information and loads of T&Cs.

Anyone else had this?

Call them up and say you never agreeded to it, mention words like fraud and misguided etc and they will drop remove any application you may or maynot have.

Yes. It's a credit card, and they should have told you in plain terms that it was exactly that.

I'd complain to Halfords about this. I saw a load of people getting talked into this before they talked to me and I realised what it was. I complained and havn't seen anyone selling them since.

lol - you answered all her questions because you were in a rush? That doesn't make sense :)

If you were stupid enough to sign up for a credit card then I believe there is a cooling off period so don't panic.

I HATE being accosted in the street for any reason (no matter how fit the woman is), it happens so much around where I work it drives me mad. First I say "no thanks", then if they persist they get a very blunt "go away" then if after that they STILL have a go I end up getting a bit rude and they stalk off. Human spam.

I don't even give that amount of time to people in the street holding a clipboard unless they have a tray of food or drink! :p

Get it cancelled and write to halfords head office complaining about the company being allowed to operate on their premises.

When I'm out with my mate in Manchester, we just put our hands in our pockets, heads down and walk on by if we spot anyone trying to ask us something or hand out leaflets.

Pussy - just look at them right in the eyes, and keep walking on whilst maintaining eye contact. ;)

I was once stopped walking through the city centre by someone asking "Have you had an injury in the last 3 years", to which I stopped and then had a go at them for 15 minutes saying how companies such as National Accident Helpline are mostly parasites trying to get a profit from someone elses misfortune.

They caught me on a bad day and it felt oh so good :)
