Have the money for 5090 but...

Is it money to burn though? Are you earning enough in your day job not to miss it? If so then buy two! Otherwise you might end up feeling a mug after the high wears off and you're playing something once a fortnight as the card rapidly depreciates! What about the rest of your system? A 'light gamer' rig might be a severe bottleneck. :p

Thank you all for the advice. Yes I agree I would be wasting my money but we shall see how much of a downgrade the 5080 is compared to the 5090 I suppose. I love my bikes so who's maybe just get a mid range 2k PC and maybe a turquoise yeti bike
£2k = Midrange.... SMH (not a judgement on you, just the fact that that is somewhat the reality!)

My mother. A year with ovarian cancer. Still cry in the mornings

Sorry for your loss. Honestly I would take some time out for reflection. I'm going to sound super boring but put the money away. Your future self will thank you so much. 115k will go extremely quickly otherwise. Invest it and carry on with your life.

Gaming is honestly just not that rewarding nowadays. Money is no object for me in the slightest and even I felt disgruntled buying a card recently as there is just not that much to enjoy and I missed playing 'casually' rather than having to max everything out and feeling like i was missing something.

Imo wait for 5090 announcement in early January, you can use GeforceNow to tide you over in the meantime, only a few weeks left.
