Hazro series - HZ30Wi, HZ30WiQ, HZ27WA, HZ27WB & HZ27WC

Ordered my new 27"WC this morning, glad I did as it looks like the initial stock of these has finally run out.

Hope this monitor does not disappoint as I had some trouble convincing the wife that I really needed one of these :)

Role on tomorrow night when I get home to play with my new toy :D

Mine came. First impressions: The glossy coating is REALLY going to take some getting used to but I fail to see a long term problem as it's the same as a CRT, so I'll get used to it. I've got a window on my left and the curtains are closed but it's still annoyingly glary. I'm so used to matte i guess. Still, at least I no longer have to look through LG's winter frost coating...

No dead pixels from what i can see so far, but i have two slight pin ***** size chips in the glass. It's barely noticable but it is there.

Input lag is pretty much identical to my Dell 2209wa, so that's excellent. Its definitely a sub 10ms screen.

Colours are different than my Dell, but neither are calibrated so i'm not the one to ask here. They look fine with the brightness down quite a bit, maybe it little bit more saturated than i'm used to but that's probably due to the glass.

I did take some pics but my cam ran out of battery, if they aren't terrible pics I'll post them later on.

Input lag is absolutely no differnt to my Dell 2209wa, so that's excellent. Its definitely a sub 10ms screen.

Sound pretty good then, the low input lag is deffo a plus for gamers, hope you can post some pictures later.

Right, it's up and working, and I've calmed down now.
Any M4 threaded screw will be fine and you'll need a 12 to 16mm thread. Thumb screws are better if these can be sourced
You might want to check that for yourself, as the 12mm screws which came with my arm were way too long:

I had to get a load of washers from the local (and therefore bloody expensive) hardware store:

Notw it's up and running I am very pleased, but I really shouldn't have had to go to such dicking around.

EDIT:

For the guy who was aking about the LX arm - it holds the screen with no problems (except for the screws being too long}.

I am seriously contemplating getting rid of my current TV and two monitors and just get some of these. Or maybe just get rid of one of my Dell monitors for now to replace with the Hazro :D

Oh dear i need to work on my cabling. Curtain was open here a bit, so the glare went wild as you can clearly see. Meow, lazy cat in the window :)

You can definitely see how the glare can be an issue. BTW, i just played GRID on this screen, it's an enormous step up from 1680x1050, even though i had it with 8xAA on. It's so much more crisp, and you don't really see any aliasing at all.

i just received and set up the 'A'.

first impressions are 'WOW'. It's huge. My previous monitor was 19" - i have to turn my head to look at the edges!

I've tested it a little with crysis 1, 2560X1440 and 8xAA with everything set to Very High and I got a decent 30fps. It's not a very intesnsive test but I only really wanted to see what it was like.
Didn't notice much blur or lag, but then I'm not much experienced with this kind of thing.

Do you know of any software checks I can do to check for any dead pixels? also how can i get the images below to show up? Tried using the img tag but appears blank whe i post.

Ok, I got my screen an hour ago or so.

Only got to play with it for 15 min now.

First impressions are:

1) It's massive compared to my Dell 2209WA but I almost got used to it already.

2) First thing I did was check for dead pixels with Dead Pixel Buddy - I think I can notice 1 dead subpixel and 1 or 2 lazy sub-pixels, hopefully will get them sorted. It's really hard to notice as the panel's resolution is enormous.

3) Contrast seems a bit off, blacks on Lagom.nl don't seem too deep and it's hard to distinguish the first row of black squares. Blacks on my self-calibrated Dell 2209WA were better (using somebody's colour profile and adjusted OSD settings).

4) Colours are fine, might be a little problem with blue but it's good to excellent, generally.

5) Gamma seems a little off too but I'm going to try and fix it now. Hopefully it's just a leftover colour profile.

6) The screen is very reflective. I'm used to a glossy panel on my laptop but that doesn't make it any better. I'm moving out soon and will hopefully get a less shiny room though :)

7) The monitor doesn't show anything on screen when booting - turns on when logged in in Windows.

Can't comment on input lag or whether I have more than just 1-2 dead sub-pixels.

Use your eyes, if you don't notice any you've either got a winner or need an eye test.

That's not gonna work, you need to test it with different background colours - Black, White, Red, Green and Blue to make sure that there are no stuck or dead pixels/sub-pixels.

Ehhhh, hope I don't have that... that would be a real problem for me, and I think to a lot of others..

Yeah, will troubleshoot that in a minute, thought it was strange at first but it might be down to the resolution used?

It shows boot stuff for me fine, it looks so pixelated it's funny. If people couldn't enter their BIOS it would be a huge problem, so it makes no sense that hazro would overlook this anyway.

The screen did flicker pink a few times during this part of booting up, which is a bit scary...

Above is helpful advice. I have one pixel that is constantly blue and what I think is a cluster that is always black. I'm not experienced in this so any helpful advice would be appreciated.

if you can't be helpful what's the point of replying?
