I built my system yesterday and started to finish installing all the needed software onto my vista computer. When suddenly i found my graphics card clocks to look like this
GPU core clock: 509.63
Memory clock: 510.75
This was not overclocked at all and i am using a Hiper 580W Type R power supply. The 2900xt has two six pin connected.
I am using the Beta Ati tool 0.27 and it says my "power supply does not support enough power".

Please tell me what can i do, do i really have to purchase a new power supply??

Welcome to the forums. :)

Your power supply is easily enough as a mate of mine is using the exact same one for his 2900.

Your probably seeing the 2D clocks, it only goes to its full speeds (3d Clocks) when you start gaming as said above as i was beaten, again. :( :D

i have a hyper type R 580w modular too, its more than enough power mate.

them clocks are 2dclocks, 750/825 is the default 3dclocks, the card can do 800/1000 easy, but no games use up the extra bandwidth appart from benchmarks, so its good to know when future DX10 titles and bandwidth hogging games come along that you can just crank up the card and get playing
