hd video camera?

hi guys,

which is the must-have hd video camera at the moment? would like a sony as i'm a bit of a fanboy unless with another brand you get a bucket load more for your money?

also, better to go for hdd or flash storage?

if theres a decent one for around 300 quid then great, but if its more like 5-600 then its not a problem...

any ideas?

edit: quite like this one: Sony Handycam HDR-TG7VE - although i assume being that slim there would be a disadvantage? maybe a drop in quality?

that sony actually gets fairly decent reviews, touchscreen, gps and not too bad performance in low light. i'd say that you've almost already sold yourself...so go for it!

really....looked at about 5 reviews! seems a bit expensive however, I haven't searched for prices...
gps feature looks really cool actually...face detection etc. maybe gimmicks but they seem to be liked overall

the best mainstream camera at the moment is canon hg21. it comes with 120gb hard drive and you can also record of flash memory. yo can record in hd and take still pictures. i bought it from ebay cheaply and its fantastic. i have no problems with it at all. i recommend it
