This a more "economically viable" option than the 4870 x2's out there. You get a better looking card which stays pretty cool (in the 60-70 celsius region).
If you crave high frame rates in games like COD4 and COD5 (and eventually cod 6 in autumn 2009), then get 2 of these and crossfire them.
4 DVI ports on each card is terrific too.
There were driver issues when this card first came out, but Catalyst 8.12 is out now, and it resolves many issues.
I've seen 2 of these in crossfire, driving a 28 inch Viewsonic LCD, and a 60 inch Pioneer plasma screen with cod4, and it is phenomenal.
The only place this card falls down is use of DDR3. It really could have done with GDDR5 like the 4870.

) that dual gpu cards can be somewhat problematic and inconsistant, but Ati still seem convinced that this is the way forward. Perhaps they should concentrate a bit more on their drivers before releasing a new card into the marketplace.
