Nah, its been shown on sites that currently OC scaling is very poor past 900 core, be it software or drivers who knows, the fact I can beat your 1000 core GPU score with a 900 core proves scaling is all screwed up OC wise.

The 300Mhz extra CPU speed + W7 will be the reason you have a higher GPU score than me. I'm only at 3.4Ghz quad with Vista.

Your ORB score says your CPU is at 3.8 and I know they always get your CPU speed right.

lol Windows thinks my CPU is at 3.8, but it's only at 3.4.

Wouldn't effect the GPU score hardly at all anyway, it is after all the GPU score.

Sauce? Cause in Vantage, furmark benchmark, hawx my card still scales linealy between 900 and 1000 :confused:

Wrong. i gain loads of points in gpu overclocking my cpu right up to 4.6Ghz.

That's what ****** me off so much with hwbot and orb results. Anybody with an i7 running at 4.2Ghz+ can score a massively higher gpu score than me despite their graphics card running 10 to 20% slower than my clocks

Anyway easily solved, post your results at 3.4Ghz and see how they compare.

Believe me, the GPU score in vantage between a quad at 3.4 and 3.7 is not going to be more than a few points, fact.

Here http://service.futuremark.com/resultComparison.action?compareResultId=1446721&compareResultType=19 i7 @ 4.1, scores 400 points more than me in the GPU score, yet I have a lowly Q6600 @ 3.7, Vantage GPU score is as pure GPU bench you can get.

OK, thought I would flash my card with the Asus bios again and see if maybe last time was a software error or something, went straight in at 1.23v in MSI AB, I used CCC to set the clocks 1000/1250, results below..

Raven, are you saying that you are getting more GPU score out of the Asus bios even when set at the same clocks as your prior bios?

No, original bios only goes to 900 core, Asus bios 1200, first time I flashed at 1000 clock, the performance was dire, I think it was the older afterburner software screwing it up, this time I used afterburner for volts only and used CCC for the OC, and performance is way better.

Right Win7 does not scale in the slightest.

Vista however :-

Stock GPU score 15411
900 - 15591
950 - 16175
1000 - 16448
1000/1300 - 16627

In Win 7 not much changed....odd!

I'm getting 16,843 @ 900/1300 in Win 7 x64, looks like even if Vista is scaling better, its actually further down the scale performance wise.

What temps are you running under load with these overclocks?
