HDD for PS3 to be optional Extra - from Sony's own mouth.

Click on the "Product Outline" section, and scroll down. THe key shows
that the HDD is a 'sold separately' add on, not inclusive.

£500 for a PS3 anyone ?

Hence it doesn't come as standard as you have to pay more for this extra bit of hardware and other little things over the core.

So the xbox doesn't come with HDD as standard, most likely the PS3 will have two options like the xbox i heard this a while ago, not sure if it's true.

My xbox 360 HDD did come as standard for the package i paid for.

£500 i wouldnt pay any more then £300 from what i have read its hardly any better then the 360 if at all no way £200 better sod that

*edit* The comment about it failing made me say this about the ps3 not having it standard but neither does the xbox as the standard package the "Core" does not have it. You are paying more for the add-ons such as a HDD with the "Premium" as you would if buying the add-on for the ps3 except it's not sold in a console package as far as i know.

The standard Xbox 360 is the "Core" not the "Premium" which had you're HDD that came with it.

I did not say it will fail as the PS3 fanboys will buy the console no matter what versions get released.
