Looking to grab a LG C1/C2 later in The week. I am currently building up a new tv unit and wanted to get some cables sorted and fitted up. I am looking for a recommendation on a decent HDMI 2.1 48Gbps cable.

I have a PS5 that will be using it primarily and will also have a Series S, pc and Fire TV cube. I believe they will just be running 2.0 so think I already have them.

Does the cable that comes with the PS5 support HDMI 2.1 48Gbps?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hummm accordingly the PS5 already comes with one. Will have to dig it out.

The PS5 already comes with the appropriate HDMI cable.

The cables are basically the same as ones used for HDMI 2.0. There isn't actually a wiring difference. It's more down to the quality of the cable to mitigate signal loss. A short 1m/1.5m HDMI 2.0 cable will still work with a HDMI 2.1 device and deliver the bandwidth needed. It's more problematic in lengths above 5m where you need to make sure the cable is HDMI 2.1 certified.

I've used an old 1m hdmi 2.0 cable with my PC to connect to LG CX TV and all the HDMI 2.1 features worked perfectly fine.

Great. Thanks for the info. I did have a problem with my PS4 Pro running at 4K with its original cable. I have got a couple of great quality cables bought from Costco a while ago I will use for my other devices.

I recall a lot of people experiencing the same issue. Not sure if it was when using with a Bravia TV but I replaced it with a new one and it worked fine. Like you said though it’s possible that the cable was faulty.

Kenable cables are good and you can buy them direct from the manufacturers website to avoid getting fakes.

Amazon basics that are 48gbps rated are good as well but slightly more expensive usually than the Kenable ones.

Monoprice has a few half priced certified 48gbps HDMI 2.1 cables on their site.

Wow they are great price. I have used their cables in the past but always purchased from Amazon and they have been great. I think i am going to buy a full set from them. Thanks :)

Its a pity they dont do the certified in 4 colours as it would have been great to get them all nicely colour coded :D
