Hi all, I've got an oldish TV (a Hitachi 720p thing) which only has 1 HDMI in. At the moment I have my PC plugged in there and my Xbox 360 via Component cable. I was wondering if there was a HDMI splitter of sorts that switched inputs automatically that would just go into the TV and have the Xbox and PC plugged in, switching where necessary. I know they exist for SCART and I'm sure they exist for HDMI, but I was after a brand recommendation here because I know you get good ones and not so good ones.

...Unless you can save me a bit of money and tell me that HDMI has no improvement over Component :p

Thanks for any help

I bought one for a friend recently for exactly the same reason. It was £15 ish and has a remote control! It's a cheap plastic rubbish make crap thing, but it works great!

Oh and picture quality was improved moving to HDMI, sorry :p

You want an HDMI switch. Be warned - ATI cards don't play well with some switches and you'll probably need to boot the computer with the input set already.

I'm using a good old fashioned mechanical switch box from the local retail park electrical retailer. Cost under £5 sans cables.
