Ive been using my ps3 for years to stream ripped blus and music from my home server, due to the ever increasing amount of cinavia films popping up the ps3 is becoming hard work to stream using, so im trying to use my lg 42la740 tv, it has networking and full dlna support sees the content fine and plays it.
The problems Ive got are the audio, I'm hooked up over hdmi to my yam 673 attempting to use arc which should work, Ive turned arc on set the input set the tv to optical / hdmi (arc) output but nothing. Ive just ordered a couple new hdmis (I needed a couple anyway) as the one im using is a cheap ebay one I got back in early 2009 which I believe is a 1.3 low speed but im not sure its a cable issue as it only needs to push the sound back.
Am missing something?
