Hey Guys,

Seen this HDR bandwagon go past and thought that I would hop on and give it ago, seems quite fun!

I have given it ago with some things like coins on my desk and such.

I had a few questions about this though, originally it seemed to me that it was only suitable for still life, due to the many exposures that are needed to created the shot, but I have noticed that many HDR photos have cropped up with people, and such and they are not blurry which I would have expected!

Is there a way of telling hte camera to go between exposures and just hold down the button and shoot 5 shots?

Thanks in advance!

You can use exposure bracketting, but that still takes time to take three shots. More than likely, its exposure compensation from a single RAW image used to make 3 photos of differing exposures.

Ah right, I have a 350D, is that capable of exposure bracketting?

You can get good results from processing a RAW file at -1 stop, normal and +1 stop to give three exposures. :)

Slightly OT, but is there a 'proper' way to HDR a pic from a single JPEG image? My camera only shoots JPEG, and it can be a pain having to take some shots exactly the same 3 times. I've came up with a few methods of doing it, but none were all that great. :(

Unfortunately, JPGs don't really contain enough info - you will just end up with noisy results
