Head of E.A Origin says "Steam sales are bad" & wants Origin to be the hub for gamers

To be honest, he is talking mainly pap. Clearly they want to do their own thing and thats fine, but you know the customers enjoyment is not no 1 on their list, its your wallet.

on the flip to that, clearly Gabe and the team want to make money, but you get the feeling its not their no 1 goal, the customer is much higher up if not no 1 on their list

You have two clearly diffrent companies working in the same retail space, one is ready to sell its monther the other is not and with a shifty looking front man for origin thats why "We love Valve" 5UB even has a thread about it!

Pretty Much this, If Origin was the gaming hub for gamers, I think the pc market would have died off years ago, every title will be 49.99 on launch with endless amounts of DLC im sure they would even charge a monthly sub for there horrible little origin tool and the privlage to download from there servers.

I can just see the EA origin Xmas sales now BF3 was £49.99 now £49.00 save 99p

Im not stupid I know Valve and Gabe dont run steam soley for fun and the love for the gaming world it is a business. But they give just as much back to the community as they take. Its a nice balance.

I buy the bare minimum EA titles I can and try not to spend any money with them. There like a bunch of locusts the sooner they die off the better.

I like how "$10 or equivalent in your territory" is £10, and not, say, £6.50.

I wonder if on the 15th anniversary, they'll discount every game to £15.
