Is there a need to keep it on charge? I usually leave my battery in the bike over winter and away I go in the spring.

Yh it keep it in tip top condition without overcharging it

Just checked,optimate 3 I have,I'd get one of these otherwise though

This worth getting if you plan to ride throughout winter whenever theres a dry day or is it for folks who are going to wrap it up warm for months on end?

Always handy to have a charger though,does 12v and 6v bike or car battery's, when you buy a new battery you have to charge it up first anyway
