Heating ideas for out building?

I'm renting an out building to use as somewhere I can set my decks up and so on due to complaints from neighbours.

It's around 30 foot by 15 foot, 2 of the walls back onto a corridor, and the other 2 are outside walls.

It's freezing in there, i've currently been using one of those small electric heaters with the 3 bars and it's done the job as i've had it right next to the decks so I can feel it.

It's broke though and i'm wondering if there are any better ideas than going out and buying another one (they're only a tenner or so).

Not wanting to pay too much as the heater was OK (ish!) and i'm not sure how long i'l be renting it for.

I only really use one end of the place as theres only the decks and a PC in there. I was thinking about getting some heavy duty lining/curtains and hanging them down from the ceiling so that would keep the heat in "my section" a bit better. Any idea where I can get some from on the cheap? The ceiling is quite high....i'd say 25-30 foot.

Another idea is to build a room inside the room - this would help with soundproofing too but I don't want to pay out for the materials and so on.

Guess i'm looking for quick fixes really. Any ideas? :)

It wouldnt cost too much I imagine to build a simple frame on the inside the structure. Depends how long term its going to be used? If you're going to be in it for a while I reckon that might be best option to build a the frame for a room inside and put some insulation and plasterboard on. Will keep it warmer no doubt and keep sound in more.

I'd go for playing you decks quieter in the comfort of your own warm house. Never understood the need to play anti solcially loud when just practicing. Failing that go for a halogen heater!

i'd say heavy duty curtains all around you with 2 £10 heaters i say two just means you dont have to have them full blast which should save them some strain. heavy curtains should sound proof it a lil aswell.

why can't you use headphones?

He's already using the headphones for the beatmatching.

edit, as for the heating, a 1200w halogen heater will do the job brilliantly and costs naff all to run too.
