heaven benchmark gtx 480 sli

ok thanks for that, its just that when people say is the cpu a bottleneck, well it cant be if its hardly being used.

Clearly.

But CPU "bottlenecking" changes game to game, and even game-scene to game-scene. Certainly in GPU-stress tests like heaven benchmark, or furmark, the CPU will not be bottlenecking the system. But if you play an older game (eg half life 2), then the limiting factor will be the CPU. This is still not neccesarily a bad thing though, as CPU limitation with a fast CPU usually means you are already getting very good framerates, and also your GPUs will not be putting out quite so much heat.

I know this thread is for sli but couldn't find 1 for crossfire, just got a second 5870 today & the heaven benchmark was the first thing I tried, is this a good result? left settings at default.

ok think i have a satisfactory heaven benchmark now, nvidia control panel had physx set to gpu 1, so i set to cpu as there is no off stting, also there was a setting multi display performance mode, so i put it into single display performance mode, now my benchmark as below

waynio well not sure if its good or not as i too have not seen a crossfire one either, but does seem a little low being as you are running at 1920 x 1200, i can only go off my setup which has scored higher at a much higher res, this is my result at your res.
