Help! 10 IT people can't sort this out..

The guys that came up with those sound effects are legends. Literally EVERY cartoon relies on them today.
 
just spent a while looking ...I think it's Hanna Barbera as well..not sure which show.. sounds like it could be any of them to be honest
 
Yep, sound effects for cartoons were most likely re-used by many different cartoons. It happens with nearly all media, even today.

One example would be that one of the "zombie screams" in Left 4 Dead can clearly be heard during the movie The ******* Prophecies. Another example is the police radio chatter in some of the GTA games was used in many movies featuring police (can't remember which ones now) before and since the game.

Yeah, it's quite obvious when TV shows and movies are using a common sound effect library as you'll recognise them straight away. The metal door opening one is quite common, I've heard that in lots of places, several where you can see that the door would never possibly make that sort of sound.
 
Was the Spider not from some fake documentary where they gave them drugs?
