Right, swmbo has decreed that I can have a new monitor for Chrimbo if I want one, so what would you do
Anyways my requirements are:
27" no larger and certainly no smaller
2560 x 1440p but might consider going down to 1080p if a particular monitor get recommended a lot.
144hz,
response time of 1ms or thereabouts so probs a TN screen but I'm sure there might be alternatives like AU jobbies.
Now, I've got a 1070 vid card, but if I end up with a freesync screen 'frinstance, I'll probs go for an AMD card when I upgrade next year. I'm assuming I can utilise the 144hz, but not use freesync with an Nvidia card? I think a Gysync screen is not in the running due high cost in comparison with freesync.
Budget, up £300 bought from ocuk in either "clearance, this week only, or normal shop.
Any suggestions?
