Basically I just bought a M.2 (Samsung 960 Evo) and want to do a Data Migration onto it to make it my OS Drive.

Simply put my computer detects and picks it up, it's formated and showing as a 230GB drive however Samsung Magician and Samsung Data Migration Wont detect it.

Prior to me formating the drive (which i had to do thorugh windows storage settings) Samsung Magician was seeing it but I was unable to format it and it didn't show up in My Computer only in device manager and no where else.

It's currently formated as an 'Active Primary Partition' but I'm unable to detect the damn thing in the software I need to use to get it up and running as my OS.

if anyone else had this issue and knows how to solve it, it would be great.

I had a similar issue with the Magician software - it wouldn't detect my Source drive, so could not perform a Data Migration from HDD to SSD.

It was because the source was a "Dynamic" disk and not a basic. Tried to use various software to convert to basic but gave up in the end and did a
Windows re-install which worked fine.
