Hi guys...
Need help choosing a laptop for my brother, off to uni to study engineering...

So, looking for a windows machine.

No bigger than a 15" screen, for portability...

Need a good balance of build quality and performance...

Any recoomendations??

Thanks

I had 2 Asus laptops and they both had poor build quality. I would steer clear + the keyboard is one of the worst there is on a laptop. From my own experience, even Acer make better machines than Asus.

does this look good??

Competitor link :/ Against the rules matey! [Yet you quoted it!!]

As for Acer the build quality feels average, taking into consideration the specification they are good value for money until you own two Acers and both times the screens go after a year apparently thats a problem with Acer laptops.

I have found a Samsung NP-RV511

Screen size - 15.6 in
Processor - Intel Core i3 380M - 2.53 GHz
RAM - 3 GB
Hard Drive - 320 GB
Operating System - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
Optical Drive - DVD Rewriter
Graphics - Intel HD Graphics
Webcam - Integrated
Warranty - 1 year warranty
