Hi All

I need an online savings account. Most important on my list are:

- Financial Stability of the Organisation.
- Online access that is easy to use.

Here's my shortlist:
- Yorkshire Building Society
- Nationwide Building Society
- Co-Operative Bank

If anyone is using these, could you let me know what you think of their online access.

Any others worth looking at?

Thanks

If you pay tax, I would seek independent financial advice. At the moment I make very little on my savings accounts (insignificant amount to be honest).

However, I use Egg and rate them well.

Yes, the rates are pretty bad at the moment, but I'm not going to have the money in there for that long as it's going on a mortgage, so I can live with that.

I'd recommend looking at moneysavingexpert's recommended accounts, they tell you the best rates and explain how secure your money will be with each institution. However, if you're looking at investing over £50k then for full stability you need to look at state owned institutions really which can guarantee your whole balance, either NS&I, or (for the moment) Northern Rock.

Citi Bank were doing 3.3% about a month ago with no restrictions online saver only interest monthly. One of the best out there but its a 1 year only deal.
