I'm certainly no expert on this, but surely as long as it's dry - it wouldn't matter that the tea is still on the motherboard when you start the pc?

Save the possible hassle and get a place to clean it properly.
We get soooo many in every week where I work >_<!

The tea was spilt on it a few days ago so I figured it'd be dry by now so I opened it up to check what it was like inside and there is something like a bit of corrosion beside a few resistors and screws.

So I just put it all back together and switched it on and it boots fine but I'm wondering if I should still clean the motherboard where the tea has been or should I just leave it be and it'll be fine? :D

ChrisJSY: How much would it cost to be professionally cleaned? :)

That all depends where you go.
We'd charge an hourly rate but we're in jersey ;P

Ballpark figure? Anything really to give an idea of cost.

The keyboard keys are all sticky so it's pretty much unusable and I'm sure a replacement keyboard would cost a fair bit anyway.

<£80

You see it could have gone even further into the system and turning it on could damage other system and well, we get a lot in where it had been tried and works fine with minor issues or the ones where they leave it over night upside down over the sink, turn it on and bam! takes out the whole thing and they spend looads getting it fixes rather than a new notebook >_<

I was thinking you were gonna say £250 or something. :D

Would they clean the motherboard etc and would they replace the keyboard or use something to clean it?

unless its actually damaged they'll just clean it or if they're on watch dog they change the keyboard, the screen and upgrade the memory :D
